Frustration

I'm extremely frustrated with my experience purchasing this bike. I bought it on sale and thought it was a good deal at first. I expected it to be ready to ride—not to spend the entire summer dealing with ongoing issues.

Right from the start, after the initial service from Sport Chek, I got home and discovered the speed controls were installed upside down. I brought the bike back to have that corrected. Once home again, I noticed the screws for the water bottle holder wouldn’t come out—so I returned it again.

When I was told the bike was ready, I went to the store to pick it up, only to find out nothing had been done to fix the issue. The manager then offered to replace the bike with a new one. But incredibly, when I got home with the replacement, it had the exact same problem with the water bottle screws.

I returned to the store again, and was told they’d look into it—possibly arrange for another replacement—and that someone would call me back within a day or two. A week passed with no news, so I called myself. Now I’m being told the manufacturer needs to replace the entire frame, and that could take up to a month.

That means I’m likely losing the entire summer—the very reason I bought the bike in the first place.

This has gone far beyond frustrating. I bought this bike to enjoy the season, and all I’ve had are delays, repeated trips to the store, and a bike I still don’t have.

I'm quite sure no one from the company reads this comment section—but I sincerely hope someone will step up and provide a real solution now, not just a waitlist and another month without a working bike.

Junk.

Had this bike two years, haven't ridden nearly as much as I intended, perhaps 10-15 times total and the chain recently snapped. I have had to repair and tighten a number of things on this bike in the limited times I have used it. I'm not opposed to maintenance, but not this often. Save your money and buy something else.

Didnt last a single season

I bought this bike last year and rode it to work for about three months (2-3 days per week) on smooth roads and paved paths. The repairs required to get it ready for this season would cost me more than the original price of the bike. I called Sportcheck about it and they said there is nothing that could be done and I am out of luck.

The bike turned our to be a total lemon and I didnt get any support, and now I have to buy a different bike. Dont buy it!

Must buy this bike

Daughter loves this bike! Very light and smooth to go up hills and the friction is awesome as well.
