Never again

I purchased 2 of the bikes 2 years ago. Most expensive bikes I ever owned. But let me tell you. They are junk. In 2 years they almost cost me double in repairs.

Awesome bike

Awesome bike hold up amazing. I rode it through the rain and brakes worked awesome the disk brakes are just amazing and the gram size was perfect for me I got a large and I’m around 5 feet 10 inches tall only thing that I would change (only because of preference) is that you could put 29 inch wheels on it but it’s not that big of a deal honestly and the fork is adjustable which is nice and it absorbs impact perfectly and the bike grips are amazing in the rain they wear not slippery at all and super easy to grab shifting gears is also very nice down shifting can take a second sometimes but overall I wouldn’t change the mechanisms unless I had to. Overall if you do some mediocre mountain biking or you bike around your town or city and go off road it’s awesome I’d recommend it.

A decent mountain bike for the price point with all the trimmings

Bought two of these for our nephews because they were growing out of their old bikes. The aluminum frame appears sturdy and noted a decent component set but would have preferred a full Shimano setup. The rear derailleur was a Microshift and the rear cassette was a mystery brand. Time will tell how these hold up. A few things though. The OEM seat clamp on one bike had stripped threads and because the seats are removed to deter theft, it came apart after a few days of use. I replaced it with a $10 part from MEC, which is definitely more robust. Finally, set up at Sport Check was questionable. The rear cassette on one bike was not properly torqued and came apart and caused the high gears to slip on the first day of use. Good thing I had the proper tool and torque wrench. For safety I pulled the rear wheel on the other bike and the rear cassette, while not loose yet, was not properly torqued either, so I'm sort of disappointed with the 'professional' assembly service on such a critical component. Otherwise, the boys like their bikes, so overall mission accomplished.
